The Lions Club continues to undergo some much needed repairs and remoldeling. Please excuse our mess while we continue to bring you these changes. Some of the dates in 2012 the building may not be available for rent, so we may update the Kitchen soon. Please call 641-218-9528 to check on available dates or if you have questions. Thank you!
Remodeling Update
The remodeling and repairs are coming along great! Many changes are happening. There is a new coat rack built and installed (Thank you Melvin Moon for working on this). The siding on the outside of the building will be finished soon. The inside continues to under go changes as well. Soon we will be remodeling the kitchen. Look for more changes in 2012.
Community Center for Rent
The Melcher-Dallas Community Center is owned by the citizens (not the City of M-D) and is ran and managed by the M-D Lions Club.
The Melcher-Dallas Community Center is available for daily rental usage for weddings, receptions, birthday parties, graduations, private parties, flea markets or whatever your event needs are.
The Melcher-Dallas Community Center is also available for funerals, funneral luncheon, fundraiser events, church functions, town meetings, and more. (The building is available RENT FREE for churches, funerals, fundraisers, etc. or as determined by the Lions Club.)

Fully functional kitchen with refrigerator, two stoves, three-tier sink, microwave, and several coffee pots and cookers.
Seperate mens & womens restrooms.
Tables & chairs.
Stage for MC or band.
Complete Sound System with lights and ball room capabilities. (Must be requested at time of rental)
Cassette & CD Player
Piano
Maximum Building Occupancy per Fire Marshall Code is 349 people.

The Community Center was purchased in 2000 by the citizens of Melcher-Dallas and is owned & operated by the community and managed by the M-D Lions Club. All operational and maintenance costs are paid for by rentals, donations and fundraisers. The Melcher-Dallas Community Center receives NO federal, state or city funding!

Please write "donation" in the memo line. If you would like a reciept for your tax deductible donation, please include a note with your name & address, and one will be mailed to you.

Music Jams
Blue Grass / Country-style music jams are on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7pm-10pm. Come to sing, play, dance or just listen to the music. Bring a dish or snack to share. No cover charge, Minimum $2 donations suggested. Music Jams are held at the M-D Community Center, 112 N. Main Street, Melcher-Dallas.
